Our Story with Perfection Redefined

First, Let me introduce myself!

My name is Megan, the founder, CEO and creator of Perfection Redefined. A little about me, I love pink (clearly) all things Jesus, Disney, Pageant and the gym (usually in that order) and love any chance to make a new friend over a cup of coffee (or any source of caffeine really lol.) I am married to the love of my life and real life Prince Charming, Matthew and we have three fur babies Maddie, Maverick and Monsieur Chip who keep us very entertained on a daily basis.

So why Perfection Redefined?

I truly know what it is like to be left holding the pieces of a shattered dream and realizing I didn't know who I was outside it. It rocked me to my core, but it created a moment in time that would define my journey forever. I realized that each of us have a tragedy (or many) that can become defining moments or stumbling blocks. We all have something that has rocked us to our core and forces each of us to ask the question: Who am I? If we do not have the answer, we will never become who we were meant to be; aside from all the things the world deems as "Perfect" or "Great". And that is where Perfection Redefined comes in. 

I believe that each of us were created with intentional, beautiful, one of a kind purpose and potential. That what makes us Perfect isn't by the definition of someone else, or the world around us; its defined by each of us individually discovering and celebrating who we are as one of a kind women and taking ourselves into the world to achieve and live the dreams that light our soul on fire.

This organization, this site, and our mission is the idea that each of us were created as the Original, not the Sequel to someone else; that if we can help one another discover our individual Passions, that will help determine our Purpose and choose to celebrate every step of Progress towards achieving our dreams and living in the fullness of who we were created to be, then we will change not only the world, but the mentality of Perfection in definition of someone else.

Perfection in our society today is a one size fits no one; especially as women we have been conditioned to define ourselves by a standard that we all think exists but no one achieves. This concept not only affects us at a young age, but has made such an impact on women as a whole that they lose the individual they were created to be by chasing a standard that not only was NEVER meant for them, it isn't meant for anyone! Why give up the power of being who you were gifted and created for to be the sequel to someone else?

Perfection Redefined is taking pride in being different, unique, and owning what it means to be One of A Kind. It's these things that make us special, beautiful, strong and so much more that become the power to equip us to live the dreams that light our soul on fire.

I will be honest, this organization is as much a reflection of my journey as it is an ever developing process and one I am constantly finding uncomfortable, challenging and at times that "mold of world defined Perfection" looks pretty comfortable. But then I think of you, of 16 year old me holding a shattered dream and remember that God created all of us with such intention that even in the low moments, He is growing something beautiful; that is what keeps me going. I hope that you will not walk alone in this journey, that you will see and find that there is a community here for you. I remember walking the lonely road of self discovery, and I hope in some ways, through Perfection Redefined, I have been able to pave a way for you to discover the path you were meant for.

Last thing I will say here at least, You are Fearfully and Wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) What that means is you are a force to be reckoned with all on your own. Do not discount who you are. You are enough, you are perfect as YOU and no one else. This is your time, this is your place to be comfortable in the uncomfortable, to challenge what you think you can do, to dream BIGGER than you ever thought possible; because you can. Because you already have what it takes. Because this is your time to live your dreams and change the world.
